The symposium on “Pudong New AreaPromoting Enterprises to Fulfill Social Responsibility” organized by CorporateSocial Responsibility Office of Pudong New Area was held on August 2^nd in Pudong New Area Office Center. Shanghai Chinllenge Gases CO., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “SCGC”) as the qualified Social ResponsibilityEnterprise was invited to attend the meeting.

At the meeting, office leaders listened toopinions and suggestions of different enterprises on promoting the constructionof corporate social responsibility system of Pudong New Area. Subsequently, thethird-party evaluation agency introduced qualified assessment and experience ofthe system. Finally, leaders of Pudong Joint-Conference Office of CorporateSocial Responsibility System offered instructions and proposed requirements for enterprises tofulfill their social responsibility in the future.

Corporate social responsibility means thatwhile creating profits and taking legal responsibility for shareholders andemployees, the company also assumes responsibility for consumers, communitiesand environment, emphasizes concerns for the value of people in productionprocesses, and also emphasizes contributions to environment, consumers as wellas society.

With the vision of “benefit society, bethe leader of the gas industry in China”, SCGC has won approval and praise for itsactive attitude in taking social responsibility. Undoubtedly, SCGC willcontinue to fulfill its social responsibility in future operation andmanagement in order to create greater social value.
